🪙 한·영 새 무역협정 체결로 수출 확대 기대 | New Korea-UK Trade Agreement Expected to Boost Exports

 Korean Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo and UK Minister Chris Bryant shake hands in London after finalizing the Korea-UK FTA upgrade talks.

🇰🇷 한국과 영국이 최신 무역 협정을 공식 체결했습니다. 이 협정은 영국이 EU를 탈퇴한 이후 남아 있던 옛 협정을 현대화·업그레이드한 것으로, 양국 간 관세 없는 거래 범위를 확대하고 디지털 무역·서비스 시장 접근성을 강화하는 내용을 담고 있어요. 영국 정부는 약 98% 품목에 대한 관세 없는 접근을 유지하며, 주요 산업(자동차·의약품·식음료 등)의 수출 확대에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다. 

Britain and South Korea have finalized an upgraded free trade agreement after two years of negotiations, designed to modernize their post‑Brexit trading relationship, secure tariff‑free market access, and enhance cooperation in services and digital trade. The new deal locks in tariff‑free access for about 98% of covered goods and is expected to help boost key industries and exports.  

📌 한국 통상장관 여한구는 이번 협정이 불확실한 글로벌 무역 환경 속에서도 자유무역체계를 강화하고, 양국 산업계에 새로운 기회를 제공할 것이라고 평가했습니다.

South Korea’s Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo stated that the agreement will strengthen the free trade system and provide new opportunities for industries in both countries, even amid an uncertain global trade environment.

South Korea will require advertisers to clearly label ads generated using artificial intelligence starting in early 2026 to protect consumers from deceptive or misleading content.
